How in the world did August not get a T for h hung on the rim on the dunk in the first half? I've seen them handed out for far less. He clearly hung on and as they say "swung" around on the rim, a clear definition of a hanging on the rim technical.

Stay off my lawn damn kids!

After the Jeff Sheppard ridiculous technical by John Clougherty, I don't care if they ever call another T for that again.

+1 This!

ND hung on the rim like 3 or 4 times and was not called once. Guarantee you if any UK player done that, a T-Foul would have been called.

You can swing on the rim to stop your momentum and stay their if there are players or feet below until they clear out.
Pulling yourself up is an instant T though.

Who cares, if they even do a chin up.
It has absolutely no bearing on the game.
I don't want to win a game because some referree called a chickie dip foul on rim hanging.
Or because a coach got "out of the box"
Or some other asinine call, that really has no effect on the actual playing of basketball.
I do want them to call fouls that actually have an impact...flopping, holding, moving screens, over the back, etc etc.

Go cats.

^^Not the point, if you're going to call it on one person...call it on all, however dumb the rule is it's in place so enforce it equally. Those were two clear technicals by their definition.

I don't disagree, however I would rather KAT be treated as Okafor is rather than hanging on the rim rule if we are talking about clear rules.

I agree on the rim stuff.

Man, we were pathetic on defense. Towns had to very questionable offensive fouls called on him. ND was good don't get me wrong, but we did things we had not done since December,. We were fortunate to gut it out.

I also rewatched the ND game this morning. My biggest takeaway was we could have easily been up double digits at the half had Trey not played so poorly. He was a turnover machine and missed a lot of shots that he normally makes.

At the same time, I was impressed that he didn't let it affect his aggressiveness. He kept fighting for rebounds and kept looking to score which led to a number of key plays by him down the stretch.

Why was the cop on the floor when they were reviewing the shot clock violation??
