Kerry Martin- Marion
Career record of 222 and 107 over 33 seasons. He coached at Flora, Sparta, Carterville and Marion. He made the playoffs 27 years.
His 1996 Carterville team won the 3A championship over Spring Valley Hall.

I saw something about Holecek leaving earlier this week but it got pulled by edgy. This is still up so it could be true. Hope not.
The rumor here was that he is transferring, not retiring. I don't know about coaches, but the Catholics pay their teachers zilch.

I think he heads to Evanston - and coaches the linebackers for the new DC. I think that makes more sense ! Much easier drive ! If John leaves LA - all I can say is thank you for a great 17 years, what a run and God bless !
Told his players tonight that he is retiring. Could be retiring from HS football. Hard to see him leaving for another area. He likes it up here.

I believe Mike Noll from Richmond- Burton has 278 wins. His 249th win was in the 2019 state championship game. Since then he has won an additional 29 games.
Mark Ramsey of Decatur St Teresa sitting at 335 wins. Rumors of him retiring but nothing official seen yet.
For whatever reason, the IHSA hasn't updated Noll. Plus they just say 2018 only for Richmond-Burton.
