This game had a bit of everything that could go wrong for the Hawks. The usual turnover on the first series, setting the defense up for failure. Missed chip shot field goal, blocked fg for a TD(still think it was coaching malpractice), going for two and failing twice. Going away from what was a successful running game early. The interception being reviewed actually likely cost us field position. Piss poor tackling and the inability to sack the quarterback on third down (one by Koen was huge). Lots of **** we effed up( looking at you KF), yet overcame it to beat a team that had rallied around their interim coach. I’m more satisfied with this win than the Wisconsin win, where Wisconsin had everything go wrong and folded.

In an effort to be positive, especially after a win against PSU.
That was great resiliency. A LOT of things didn't go our way and some head scratching coaching decisions, but they kept coming.
If PSU had a fraction of that, they'd probably only have 1 loss and still have a head coach

Hawks have a culture of grit/discipline/toughness as a program, they’re tough to beat, especially at Kinnick.
After seemingly overcoming several significant miscues in the first half that last one to end it was one of the biggest gut punches I can recall ever for the Hawks.
Then Penn State scores again and Iowa is down 11 and the 4th quarter is looming. Ugh.

really well put. too frequently we fail to overcome a missed chip shot fg or a muffed punt. for once it would appear individuals stepped up on both O and D to execute when it was essential.
Have to admit, I didn’t feel overly confident down 5 with 4-5 minutes to go in the game.
That run by MG was huge. Not sure we would have been able to slowly work our way down the field, but who knows.

This had all the marks of Indiana game where we gave away points early, did not capitalize etc. Was thinking no way and preparing for the worst and then WOW!
Don’t forget about the 4th down stop at the goal line that was undone by the offsides penalty. But even more than that, this game was marred with horrible…and I do mean horrible… officiating of spotting the ball. Honestly, too many horrible spots to name, both in terms of unfavorable spots for Iowa and incredibly favorable spots for PSU.
Yeah, I kept thinking Indy game (but with more blunders)….that long scamper by MG was a gift from Heaven and normally happens us….
