Remember Duke's epic NCAA collapse in Rupp in 2002?

That's all that has prevented the Hoosiers from failing to reach the Elite Eight even once since a couple months after Bill Clinton was sworn in for his first term. I almost wish Jason Williams had hit that free throw on the fouled 3-pointer to go to OT, where Duke surely would have won. That fluke game is all IUsetobe has to hang onto for 23 years of NCAA tournaments.

Kentucky has been to the Elite Eight 14 times since then, to the Final Four eight times and has three championships.

What a train wreck of a basketball program. George Mason, Butler and VCU have been more relevant since the early 1990s.

And you can project ahead at least 2-3 years onto that. Without Yogi at PG, and minus Bryant and Troy Williams, that's an NIT team next year, and Clappy isn't burning up the recruiting trail.

Man that loss last week must really be stinging. My Dad always taught me that if you are better, you never have to talk about it to prove it...

How old is your dad? If he's over 60 he might actually remember when Indiana was more relevant than Valpo in college basketball...Too bad Hoosier fans under 40 remember nothing but failure, probation and foolish antics by a nut coach.
