Remaining schedule - rest comparison

I thought I would take a little time going through our schedule to see how much rest we get before each game compared to our opponents. Not sure this is worth the time it takes to do it, but here it is anyway.

1/28 Tuesday vs. Purdue - they get an extra day of rest but have to come here.
2/1 Saturday vs. Michigan at the Garden - both play on Tuesday, they have a longer trip to MSG.
2/4 Tuesday at Maryland - they get an extra day of rest and we have to travel
2/9 Sunday vs. Northwestern - they get more rest (no midweek game) but have to travel. I would hope we are pretty rested with four days off anyway.
2/12 Wednesday at Ohio State - both play on Sunday but we have to travel.
2/15 Saturday vs. Illinois - they get an extra day of rest but have to travel.
2/19 Wednesday vs. Michigan - we get an extra day of rest and they have to travel.
2/23 Sunday at Wisconsin - they get an extra day of rest and we have to travel.
2/26 Wednesday at Penn State - both play on Sunday but we have to travel.
3/3 Tuesday vs. Maryland - we get a lot more rest and they have to travel after hosting MSU on Saturday 2/29. Senior day, too.
3/7 Saturday at Purdue - both teams play on Tuesday but we have to travel.

Two games where we have a clear rest advantage (hosting Michigan and Maryland). Can't hurt when we are trying to defend the Trapezoid of Terror. It's too bad the other three home games are against teams coming in with more rest, but so be it.

Biggest disadvantages for us are playing at Maryland and Wisconsin.

Need to defend the RAC and pick off a game or two on the road. Like our chances with UM at the Garden.

Thought about this a lot after the Nebraska game. Only Friday to prepare according to Pike in the Iowa postgame and it showed. Pike mentioned in an interview early in the year how significant of a factor time between games is to prepare. Can’t say I’ve noticed a trend so far but something to consider going forward.
