One other thing, I think it is very WRONG in every way for grown adults to publicly criticize teenage student athletes!
I think those adults need to be called out publicly and silenced. I understand people have freedom of speech, but show some class!
Yes, hopefully he can pick up another offer in the offseason. You can see his talent. With a full offseason he should have close to 3,000 yards next year.
Right wrong or otherwise play sports or put your self in the public eye and you have to deal with public comments.
The folks on facebook are the worse. Never in my life have I seen such arrogance, stupidity, and downright ugliness from adults on there. So many I see saying "we got rings" when their sorry tales didnt even make it past freshman ball lol.
"If" they are moving, they ain't moving to Reidsville for the job market and entertainment.
Yes and no. Reidsville is nicely situated between bigger cities: 25 minutes to Greensboro, 25 to Burlington, 30 to Danville and 45 to Winston.
So one could live in Reidsville, enjoy cheaper property taxes, and commute to work in one of those surrounding cities.
Its close to surrounding cities. City is trying to grow some as well, and of course football and basketball teams are pretty popular right now.
So agree with what Frank said, but you're not wrong, but you also got to look at the other side as well.
That’s really a nice setup for Reidsville. We don’t have anything like that to lure people in unless they love to bear hunt. The World Record Black Bear was killed behind our farm on my Uncles adjoining property. 3 or 4 over 700 lbs in Craven county.
We’re right there with you on bear hunting, we can offer some nice trips up and down the sides of mountains chasing hounds if that’s what fires someone up.
We have Asheville sitting 20-30 minutes away, and it’s a draw, but it doesn’t appear to be drawing bear hunters or football players. It draws a lot of stuff that makes you scratch your head.

He was at Reidsville all year! He legally transferred back to Reidsville as a Junior. Providence Day OC or HC used him terribly…had him running in motion as a decoy handing the ball off for no gain against Weddington…last chance down 7 4th quarter they target him 5 straight plays…5 catches….and a TD that was flagged for holding…he was blocking Charlotte Catholic kids 20 yards up field! He came back home! He didn’t get any NIL ! If he was still playing basketball we would have another JWI Trophy and have a 69 game win streak and be (again) top 25 nationally. But hes in Eugene Oregon getting ready for spring ! Stop lying
They were using him as a decoy and inline blocker! Only went to him when they HAD to against Weddington! And he caught 5 straight passes and took 1 to the crib for the lead! Holding on a WR that aint used to a kid like Dre not needing a block! The MaxPreps AOY deserved better!
They get taunted every game, every basketball game, Northwood fans calling Dre a big black N&$&&r hes the target of everyone. We beat the living hell out of yall!! Class? Danville GW was 12-1…we put a beating on them similarly and let off the gas! Our QB could have had 50 TDs but we sat him after halftime in all but 3 games then his job was taken for no reason but hey!
We are HEAVILY watched and thoroughly investigated…even night time visits by DSS to make certain kids that transfer actually live at said residence!! A kid with a Torn ACL coulda played QB that game…pitch and catch!Lol not sure about how their county works but not all counties are like y'all.
