For anyone who thinks the committee doesn’t weigh RPI heavily:

- 15 of the 16 regional hosts are in the Top 18 of the RPI
- Throw out the Fairfield anomaly, and its 15 of the top 17.
- The lowest RPI of a regional host is La Tech at #23.
- Every power 5 conference team in the RPI Top 18 was awarded a host site except one, Oklahoma State, who finished .500 overall in conference play.
