Do the basketball teams have to win there regions to Advance ?? I remember in previous years the loser travel to the winner of Opposite region

Got to get to regional final then winner plays at home and loser goes to #1 of another region. 8 teams make state playoffs

Yes, that's the way it should be this year. Last year, because of Covid, they only took the region champions

That's the way it is currently but I wouldn't be surprised if it changes. We've still got 8 or 9 weeks to go before the state tournament.
