First two rounds are hosted by the higher seed, while the championship game will be @ Spotswood High School

Should be interesting. I personally believe the bracket favors Western, seeing how Heritage and Spotswood will probably run into each other in the semis.

Rustburg is better than Heritage, swept their season series. Heritage’s athleticism matches up well with Spotswood though, should be a fun tournament to watch. Don’t sleep on the Gobblers or Wildcats.

Waynesboro is in and almost beat Spotswood in their season final...losing 63-59. Broadway is no team to overlook...they could give Western all they want and played Spotswood to very close games twice.. Rockbridge just beat Spotswood 69-56 for the Valley Tourney title. This tourney could be wild...should be a fun one to watch. One of the only regions where all 8 teams have a shot to make the state and win the region...or at least it seems that way.

Wow, this region is overall pretty weak. 4 teams from a very down Valley district plus a mediocre Monticello team. Western should be the favorite. I don't look for any of these teams to be any factor in the state tournament.

It’s definitely down. It should be an entertaining tournament, but as you said...doubtful anyone makes noise after it.

I'm not so sure...Spotswood is so well coached they could hang around with a lot of teams in Class 3 if they're playing well. Western has also had an extremely tough schedule, don't forget they beat Top 10 Class 5 squad North Stafford by 10 and lost to Louisa by a combined 9 points, with one of those games in overtime. Heritage has the talent as always and Rustbug ain't bad.
