With salaries where they are, should any coach be given in excess of 5 years to turn around an athletic team if their won/loss record was what CC's is? Would Jackie have been given more then 5 years if he had the same record Croom has after the same amount of games?

No way, too much talent to recruit now days. Croom was given a free pass until last year.
