Don't think we'll have any shortage in attracting candidates. Just considering how patient Nebraska was with Frost and paying him a $15 million buyout should be attractive to anybody. In addition playing in the B1G with a rabid fanbase and NIL recruiting money are strengths.

No, the issue will be, as it has been, picking the RIGHT guy. We've had 5 busts now so our track record in picking them stinks.

It worked in our favor that expansion happened yet again and we’re in the big ten. It also works in our favor that we are the first team looking for a coach.

Honestly if Trev wants fickell I dont see how he turns us down. Any potential “dram job” program (OSU, ND) isnt hiring him and cinci aint going to be in a major conference.

Thats assuming he wants him.

They Are going to the Big 12 and the new playoff format guarantees he conference champ get in , I think ND will be calling it’s obvious they made a mistake with Freeman.

ND will not fire freeman before two years at the least.

Big 12 is still in a limbo.

Yeah, I don't see the point of staying too long at a place like Cincy. He's maxed that place out.

A key question will be salary. With the crazy salaries being thrown at coaches what will the minimum be for the new hire especially with ALL the $$$$ the B1G teams will be making.

Trev said money is not an issue. Was surprised with the confidence in his answer.

My hope is that TO and his Cronies don't have any say in who is hired. That's why we're in the position we're in now. And they need to stay out of his way when he gets here too.
I loved him as a coach, but not so much after that point.

A good chunk of that $15M buyout is going back into TO & his cronies' pockets...you can bet on that.

The sellout streak will be over for the new coach. People are not even buying them for reduced prices.

We're in the situation we are in because the AD's at the time all made the wrong choice. This is on the AD's. Other than for the Solich hire, no one but the AD's at the time had the final decision. Anyone would be foolish not to seek advice/recommendations/input from others but the AD had the final decision. So this hire too will be Trev's responsibility.
