Does it or will it really matter? Maybe in years past yes. But with this team not sure we can lay anything at the feet of officials.
I don't expect we'd win if we had perfectly competent refs but it's still funny that we always seem to get multiple of the guys that have cost us games over the years with some vendetta against Cal.

If anything I say give us all the worst refs this year and maybe Cal should try to get on their good side. It’s on Cal to mend those relationships, he’s let his sharp tongue get him on their bad side now he needs to do some smooching.

I get the sentiment but **** those refs for holding a grudge. Call it as you see you asshats.

There’s a reason so many refs hate Cal but not other coaches. Ever heard the phrase if everyone you knows a jerk, maybe you’re the jerk?

Cal’s mouth is smarter than his brain sometimes, that sarcasm of his and sharp tongue gets under refs skin. Meanwhile he could use his silver tongue to talk them up, but is he too proud?

Like I said I understand the sentiment, but it's not their job to like him, it's their job to call the game fairly.

Maybe we can get some voir dire up in here and veto some refs that have clear bias against Cal.

I don't agree with feeding into a problem just because it's a problem, the refs should get their act together. If Cal is an asshat to them, T him up THAT game, and take what comes in future game as you see them, legitimately.

That’s a bit like smart talking your teachers at school and expecting them to forget about it after you get in trouble every time.

Sure, some will be professional about it, but there will be some who will be out to get you for disrespecting them.

Is that fair? No, that’s life. Expecting all people to be perfectly fair to you when you talk them down is stupidity.

No, it's not stupid. I expect the governing body to monitor their refs and discipline accordingly. Accountability would solve a lot of our issues with refs, too bad there isn't any.

That said, Cal shouldn't brown nose these unprofessional jackholes.

Is it stupidity or naivety or pride? Whatever it is it’s not wisdom to expect the world to be fair to you when it’s never been that way to anyone.

Cal can keep smart talking refs as I’m sure he will, but he’s digging his own grave. If that’s not stupid, I’m not sure what is.

Not defending those ref's but, seems Calipari has a beef with several. Lord knows the SEC has some of the worst in the game .But, the list of guys that don't seem to care for Calipari is pretty long. After a while he needs to take a look in the mirror and say "maybe it's me?"

Ha ha, UK has never really got calls. I was listening to Cawood’s call in the 1978 DUKE TITLE game and Cawood was complaining the whole game about how the refs were screwing UK.
Its been an ongoing theme since the days of Rupp.
They just don't like Kentucky because of all the success and the fact that its a rural southern state.

Here we go, it's the ref's fault we can't shoot, or guard. I guess they kept us from guarding the three point shot in the first half against Mizzou, or getting outscored 11 to 0 on second chance points. Lay it on LAZY UK players.

Serious question- what’s the pool of refs that get chosen from to ref our games? It seriously seems like we have the same pool of about 10 refs that we just get different combinations of for each game

I think it matters even more this season. This team has such a slim margin for error that they have trouble over coming terrible calls. Just like late in last game, there was the wrong charge call on Mintz that cost us the bucket and an and one. So instead of being up 1 we were down 2.

+1 here. Seems like we get 2 we know and dislike and one random you’ve barely heard of.

What is the total roster of refs.

If teams have to rely on every single call to go their way to win, then they’ve got bigger problems than just the officiating. I’m sure our opponents fans think just like we do, their team always gets hosed by calls vs UK.

I don't know about the referee issue but I DO know what voir dire means now. Thanks Lempface.
