Funny how fans get hyped about a ISU transfer who was unranked coming out of HS but getting a three star talented freshmen just isn’t good enough. Some of these fans need some serious help.
I doubt it, or else we would have heard something last week from him.

I don't get the "ISU transfer" label.
You guys do it in this belittling fashion as if he's not really that good.
He played a year at Kentucky. He averaged 14 points and shot 40% from 3. He dropped 37 points @ Arkansas.
He earned his stripes. He isn't "ISU" quality. He's Kentucky quality. He proved it.
Who cares what he was ranked 5 years ago. Don’t you think his actual college experience and success matters a hell of a lot more than his ranking before anyone knew who he was ?

I hope he returns, we might need his outside shooting again.
But what we have been lacking the past several years is a leader with a defensive mentality. A true danger that can say the same things the coaches say about stopping the other team, but it is heard differently when its coming from your peer. We always have talent, our best, and Cal's best, teams are defense first.
Reeves doesn't solve that issue.
Anyone remember some of the runs we used to go on 10 yrs ago? You'd look up and realize, wow, that was a 31-6 run! You HAVE to lock people down to do that. We haven't had that ability in a while. Guards get to rim. Wings get open threes, etc.
Also, you might remember Ulis stepping right into a 7fter who he felt was trying to rough up his big guy and basically saying we're going throw hands, I got his back. There wasn't a fight, but Ulis let it be known he was down. I've felt for a couple years that our guys talk about being close, having each others back, etc. But there hasn't been like a Magloire on the team that was really looking to bloody someone's nose if they roughed up one of our guards. We need that.
Reeves is just points, we need a true dawg on this team to put some bite in our bark. I was hoping Livingston would stick and be that guy. But ....

Reeves suffers from the same problem every shooter we have had the last 3 years has had. We haven't had "Dawgs at the point for 3 years. Cals "offense" requires a Fox, Wall, Ullis, Or even Knight type talent set to be effective against great teams. We haven't had that in a while, remains Tobe seen if we do this year. If Dilly or Wagner do have it, Reeves game will thrive.
