That is eye opening. And another shot at cal. Reeves is obviously good. He is most likely better than coming freshman. But there was plenty of options available that were as good as or better than reeves in the portal early on. Shame on cal for not having a pulse on the roster.

If he was telling the portal guys the same thing, no wonder UK didn’t get a portal player. If you are in the portal you either want to go somewhere and start, or be a part of a team that has a chance to be special. UK is neither of those.
you do know that Barnhart does not approve these contracts right? Not defending anyone in this decision, but the point I am making is that Barnhart on his own can not create such a contract, negotiate such a contract or approve such a contract. He can suggest it, but the University board approves it.

There still students in there from 2016 and years before that. Paris lee played for Illinois state in 2016 and is still in there, so it’s probably crap but he is still probably gone

Jack Pilgrim said that during the draft process, Revees unenrolled at UK and if he wanted to go grad transfer route it would be through Illinois State to finish classes...which lines up with him being in the directory.

He won’t. I would guess he’s back in Chicago taking online classes at Illinois State negotiating with other teams and never steps back on campus.
He is finishing up school at ISU. That’s all that matters here.

I don't have blue-tinted glasses. I'm never one to cherry pick the highest ranking and celebrate it. I look to industry consensus, wisdom of the crowd. If there are 4 services and he's rated 22, 27, 27, 72, I'm gonna go with the majority the same as I would if they were 72, 77, 77, 27.
Several at Illinois knew that this was reeves plan. This of course does not mean he’s going to Illinois (I’ve never seen Illinois linked to this recruitment yet, on Twitter), just that he is indeed finishing up at ISU.
He wants to transfer somewhere and the easiest way to graduate is at ISU. He has less classes to take at ISU to graduate than at Kentucky because not all of his classes at ISU transferred over to Kentucky…but all of the classes at Kentucky transferred over to ISU.

Technically you could argue Reeves was 0-for-14 when the season was on the line. His lone make was with 15 seconds left after the game was already over.
Yeah the rules are getting followed… get your head out of the sand. The blame is Cal’s and Cal’s alone. It’s his program and he’s the one who molded it and got it into the shape it’s currently in. Nobody else is to blame.
Well then Cal is a bigger idiot for not going after someone to fill his spot. I mean you have a player on the season ending day that you predicted wouldn’t return, and he unenrolled. GTFOH. This is a level of incompetence I didn’t think Cal could reach honestly.

Reeves sounds like he's gone from a variety of sources and factors .... Cal waiting on him to "go through the draft process" is just another example of complete mismanagement.
I have to agree with you here. In our losses last year he shot 159 times, only making 32% of them. About the only all-around (from both 2 and 3) good offensive game he had in a loss was against Alabama, and in that one he scored most of his points while we were down 20+, so it's not like that was some clutch performance.
Seriously, the guy just doesn't even look to get the ball to the hot hand no matter how bad he's shooting. Heck, I would have settled for him looking for the luke warm hand when he was shooting 4/13 against Gonzaga or 2/13 against UCLA. In our 2 losses to Vandy he went 12/37 overall. Just wildly inconsistent, and doesn't adjust when he's having an off night.
I credit him with being the primary reason we won against Auburn and at Arkansas, but I think he gets a lot of the blame for many of the losses where he took way too many shots when he was clearly off.
Other schools are posting his grad classes and transfer list now. He’s 100% gone. It’s so dumb.
