I agree Cal won’t even win the SEC with that roster let alone make a run in the NCAAT.
Our only shot would’ve been if Sharpe would’ve stayed and been as good as advertised.

He’s better than Mintz overall (not by a lot, IMO). Great scorer, absolutely atrocious defender. Mostly because of lack of effort or being pushed to play defense. Also needs to get stronger.
I watched him play twice this last season. He was awesome in one game, nearly invisible in the other.

Idk about this. Grady was good but his confidence (and feet apparently) hindered him significantly when we needed him at years end. I am a big fan of Grady but he lost that “dagger” mentality as the year went on.
Haven’t seen a ton of Reeves but from what I have seen he has no hesitation to his game. Solid addition that will be a contributor if we do in fact land him.
Does he run the weave well? Can he knock down the highly contested two pointer with a foot on the line and 2 seconds left on the shot clock? Does he lob it to the power forward, 15 feet from basket, well on out of bounds plays?
He would be a good pickup if Cal coached him to his strength. However, Cal won't play him if he isn't capable of covering up Cal's inept defensive strategy.
Are you talking about the same Grady who played in March like the season ended in February? When it really counted, Grady wasn't half the player that Mintz was.
We could potentially see the unthinkable: five Seniors starting (or at least on the floor together) for a Cal team.

At this point, Cal couldn't win a title with his top 5 all-stars.
Then again, this could be the reason Grady struggled at the end of the season:
No reason not to use all your scholarships especially since every player is on a one year lease.
Reeves has a mediocre PER, which suggest that his defense is lacking. But I'm glad to have him.

Exactly. If he's the go-to scorer, then that means other players haven't stepped up/developed as hoped.
