That's a weird final group of teams with programs that are all over the place. I'm a little surprised Reeves hasn't been more highly sought after.

The weirdest things with UK media--especially Tucker, KSR--they are horrible with "inside" info. Tucker is acting like a damn recruiting "guru" after spending one day at an EYBL Session. Referring to guys by their 1st name, etc.....he's a clown. He even went so far as to put Reeves down on the '23 roster projection. Can't even begin to note how many "Reeves to Kentucky today"......and it may never happen for a few reasons. He'd be a nice bench piece but may be looking for more.
I wonder if the reason Reeves hasn't committed to UK is because Cal/UK is telling him to hold off. Would Cal take this kid and the Baylor Scheierman kid? If its between Reeves and Baylor I think you take Baylor every time. I can't imagine either kid would want to commit to UK if the other was there though.
Some people on here said last night it’s because reeves is unsure of what his role will be and doesn’t really want to be a bench/role player, but his list is weird there might something else with his recruitment we don’t know about

I think that Travis Graf and Sisk do a great job. Sisk is spread thin with working for UNC site as well and Travis has a lot of responsibilities. He's also higher up food chain now and you get a ton of conflicting info. Not sure what they say on HOB because I'm just on Rafters, but reading their front page articles....they are well done and Travis has PM'd several good pieces of information. He sits on things that are often broken by others because he wants to make sure they are true and last year he had Kofi Cockburn info he sat on because he knew staff was focused on Jalen Duren. Other UK media is very easily sucked into false narratives put out to mess things up for recruits too. Such as the Kofi thing.

You know good damn well recruitment of a transfer kid isn't just a flat contest of the best basketball school out of a list. Reducing it to that is just a easy way for you to complain more.
If UK won't guarantee him a starting spot, then I can see that happening. The guy does not want to transfer to come off the bench.
I am sure NIL plays a role in this somewhere. How much will I play and how much $$$ can I make?

It's a rough day at the University of Kentucky when you are competing against Nebraska, Xavier, Oregon and DePaul for mid-major transfers.

He wants the same role he had at ISU just with more exposure.
The kids who are at the top of the "portal" class each year will expect to be recruited the same way as five star high school.players.

The best part of this particular transfer is we get to blame CCC if he commits to UK or if he decides to attend another school.

The staff needs to get over the sharpe situation he isn’t coming back stop wasting time thinking he is reeves isn’t a superstar but he is a good piece and Kentucky needs to go out and get him and stop holding out hope for something that isn’t going to happen

Think it's smart to wait for Sunday May 1st. That's the date that every player has to make their school aware of whether they will be in the Transfer Portal or not. That list includes the guys who have entered the NBA Draft while retaining college eligibility. So you will know all the players available and can select from there.
I don't think it's as cut and dry as you think.
If he's allowed to go, Sharpe will go. The NBA will probably rubber stamp his diploma. But the NBPA is going to challenge the situation.
There's a very real chance the kid isn't draft eligible when all is said and done.
I also think Kentucky is trying hard to get Reeves. I don't think they're holding back because "what if we get Sharpe?" I think they're honestly telling the kid, we think he's gone but it's not 100%. And Oregon is in his ear saying "You'll start here. We have 200K in NIL deals lined up for you.

It ultimately comes down to the NBPA. And it sounds like they're going to contest this as much as they can.
The NBA will almost certainly rubber stamp it and rule him eligible. Then the player's association will fight it. He may ultimately be eligible. But it's not black and white like everyone keeps posting.
There's clearly some shady stuff going on with his draft eligibility. And if he is eligible he will cost the kids behind him money. And the Player's association isn't ok with it.
Tucker is a mouthpiece for the staff and nothing more. I agree with everything you said he acts like some recruiting hotshot now.
The NBA (Commisioner, Teams/GM's/Owners) won't.
But the NBPA looks out for the best interests of all players--including those on their way in. And it sounds like they have concerns about the sham graduation and don't want to let it cost the other kids in the draft money.

Why? Because these aren't high level programs. Because we're Kentucky and are going after the same player (who starred at Illinois State) as Nebraska, Depaul, and Xavier. If you can't see how that's a problem, I wish you the best of luck in life.
