Idk why it bothers you so much that Kentucky fans don’t support a one and done who was 0-2 in post season games and then wore an Arkansas shirt on UK Arkansas game day.

Did you see his performance yesterday? The Nuggets closed it to 5 points near the end of the 3rd quarter. Reed hit 3 straight threes and the lead ballooned to 16. On the 3rd three, he was falling out of bounds with fans talking junk to him and he stared them down.
He scored 28 pts and hit NINE threes in 15 tries. This is PURE entertainment for me since I watched his Dad, LIVE, beat Stanford and then Utah to cut them down after coming back quickly from a high ankle sprain like a warrior. His entire lower leg was black and blue!

All I think about when Reeds name is mentioned around here. It was a layup being a legend here for him and he completely blew it.
If the feller had just worn Hog shorts instead of a shirt would be no prob. But naw, UK was relegated to the shorts which nobody looks at. It's not rocket science folks!
From my perspective, I was trying to point out why what he did was a semi big deal. I'm not triggered, a benny, or anything else. I don't feel like I'm owed any apology. I still follow his career and will support him, but wearing a UK shirt and Hog shorts would have been a compromise that wouldn't have bothered so many loyal fans. We definitely have an opinionated segment here who likes to police the way we respond to our players and coaches. I suppose it gives you a sense of superiority? Maybe I can accuse you of being a casual fan who doesn't care either way. Would that belief give me a right to label you as a benny? I mean, at least I cared enough to be bothered even a little.

What if he had worn UK and a Cal shirt? Same reaction? He was just showing some support for his college coach - who got him drafted- as well as UK. It wasn’t support of Arkansas. He pulled 100% for UK. Always will.
Not gonna lie i was team **** reed but i’m over it. Life’s too short. Hope he does well.

The problem is that he did it on the SAME DAY that Arkansas was playing UK. And he clearly wanted the media to see it. If he’d chosen a different day, it wouldn’t have gotten much notice. But to do that right before the big UK vs. Cal showdown did seem like he was making a statement about which side he was pulling for.
And he can’t plead ignorance. The dude is from a UK family and was born and raised in Eastern Kentucky. Surely he knew how badly that would be taken by the folks back home.
But it’s water under the bridge now. I’m still cheering for him to succeed in the NBA.

Reed is playing some great basketball and living about thirty minutes away his whole life, I’m so proud of what he’s doing. Just keeps working hard and showing it on the court. Keep it up kid.

I ask again. And somebody needs to do a poll. Was Cal losing on purpose? YES or NO? Oakland just don’t make sense. They didn’t do anything special. Yea the guy hit a bunch of threes but we made no adjustments.
The thought crossed my mind as soon as I saw him trot Tre Mitchell and Ugonna Unyenso out there to start agaisnt a team everyone on the planet knew was going to play a zone.
And then i promptly turned the game off already having a pretty good damned idea of how it was going to play out.

People are still complaining about Reed nearly a year later? Folks need to get over it and just appreciate that the kid is helping UK each time he tears up a 4th quarter for the Rockets.
