I’ve been advocating wanting him as a Cat as much as anyone. But we all know unless Cal thinks you can get drafted in one year you aren’t on the first boat. And now that Cal appears revitalized and wants to stockpile talent and let them battle it out.
I know he’s only a rising JR (I’ve been saying that to the haters), but as much as I like him he’s probably not moving to top 20 talent, and that (non top 20 FR) this year would not play ahead of Grady, Tyty, Mintz, or Wheeler. His best chance to play would be to get himself ahead of the 46% 3pt shooter, and that is a big ask!
I think he will be much better than Dom or Willis, but like them will have some things to work on (quickness and defense).
No I don’t think he will be the UK version of Steve Alford. Sorry.

Yes it was a video of the millisecond before the Big Bang. Not included in the video was the first UK fan ever complaint we didn’t offer Reed soon enough. It occurred a quadrillionth of a second later.
I think long time UK fans have sacrificed a lot under Cal. I don’t think it’s even a question.

Why does it have to be dramatic? Long time UK fans have watched as the program has been used as leverage for things we’ve never seen before. Cal has moved away from traditionally accepted avenues. Home and homes are non existent, the constant NBA Push, revolving door of players, speaking down about the traditional season for a few weeks in March and so on. The list is pretty long and I could definitely keep going.
And this is something the vast majority of UK fans don’t care for and aren’t used to experiencing.
If that’s dramatic to you then I’d just say calm down.
I know what your degree is. You’ve mentioned it before. Mine is Technology and applied design. But that’s not at all relevant to a ball forum. I don’t mind telling you since you asked.
what exactly have you had to sacrifice to be a UK fan? You listed a bunch of stuff you don’t like but I don’t think you or I have had to sacrifice anything due to the coaching change that took place when Clyde was fired.
Might be an odd question, but why are are you always asking about degrees, or commenting on degrees, then act like it’s a gotcha game or something? I’m just not getting the routine?
Many UK fans disagree with you. Cal has a style that has made UK fans forgo many things they’re used to. So whatever word or phrase you prefer, sacrifice / put up with / deal with whatever. Cal is not normal, and most UK fans have sacrificed their usual preferences around this program in order to win.
Reed is a legacy kid and for everything Cal has changed at UK, lots of times for the worse, he should easily want this one. That’s all I’m saying.
If you just roam around pumping Calipari fine, but others are allowed to discuss the nuance.

Alford never could leap like Sheppard already does at 16. We'll see how it works out but a guy from another era who played regularly for four seasons is not a good comparison. It is possible Reed may eventually translate much better than Alford at the pro level.
