Geez, do you not get a joke? It was actually a pretty good one also.
Something else that needs to be pointed out is that he’s playing 17U ball against mostly older players.
Def good enough. Have u watched him play yet? If not check out some of his games. Skilled passer, great shooter from 3, has an amazing mid range pull up. Kid is legit.
Plus he's a good kid that has great parents in every respect, not just athletic prowess.
Kentucky is synonymous with bourbon, horse racing, basketball, and it should be with the Sheppard lineage. Kid can play and he belongs at Kentucky.

Saying grown men are overly obsessed with a high school kid doesn't correlate to not wanting him to play here.
Sure I did deny it. You just skipped right over it. Read back a few posts.
I don't think he is a player who will get the playing time and limelight the fans think he is entitled to. I think he will be a bench player who may have a strong jr or sr year if he is willing to stick around and wait his turn. However, that will just lead to constant fighting and bickering amongst the fanbase and constant angst at the coaching staff for not playing him the way the fans think he should be played. It will be like Allen but 10× worse because he is a legacy.
Here's the thing with Reed...calm down on both sides! Kid is 16 tops heading into his Jr year of HS. Project him at 18 with probably at least 2" and a much more filled out and maturity body. With the offers he's already gotten he is going to be legit and a major player. Hoping to see him play at the KOB.
Don't understand why there's any controversy. He's a good looking prospect and UK sent entire staff to watch him play. If the guy ends up at UK they think he's good enough. If he doesn't maybe it's due to him wanting something else and not due to UK thinking he's not good enough. I've thought he's been impressive in the clips I've seen and people have been impressed who have seen him in person.
I’ve seen him a few times. I was referring to a comment another poster made about him being “maybe a mid major level player” in another thread. But, I completely agree with your assessment. He can play anywhere.

Reed is killing it in front of staff today! He has 23 points at half. Shooting the ball incredibly well.

Imo learned alot about the recruitment today. Sure seems like this is as near a done deal as it gets. Just a matter of letting it play out.
