Recurting this year is going to be interesting. Two schools that have been hot lately, Zona and USC are basically done signing anyone this coming year. Also, a few others will likely be tainted before all is said and done. Also, it will be interesting to see what recurits have difficulty finding a home; since I do believe that coaches and teams know what players have their hands out and likely the ones UK and even Duke stay away from.

We always ask "why is Cal not even trying with X or Y recurit". I think we may now know. However, I am not naive to think that everyone is innocent. I just think that smart coaches and programs just turn a blind eye to what is going on in the AAU circuit while others (like UofL) try to use it to their advantage.

If Calipari was directly or indirectly trying to "buy" guys, it would have been uncovered, however, I am not so sure that Nike or someone buys a recurit and says "only look at UK, Duke, Zona, Oregon, etc.". This is what worries me...but it would effect EVERYONE

I just cannot believe how stupid UofL was to be so directly involved with money changing hands. It is insane. No matter how shady things are, and if Rick is Coach 6; that Rick would call directly to give the thumbs up on "buying" someone, is just even more despicable than I could even imagine him doing. It is worse than the movie "blue chips".

Ironically, this kid was one of the highest rated recurits Rick had gotten at UofL; so he probably was desparate too

Coach 2. Although he should have been referred to as Coach 69.

Expl;ain to me how you misspelled "Recruit" 20 times in this post, but then I go check out another post from you a few day ago and you spell it correctly?

"A guy that has been coaching as long as he has knows that you just don't have a top 20 recruit fall into your lap like this....he is toast. Either legitimately clueless or knew 100%, either way, DONE. Did he not ask anyone "how did we get this guy?" Sandy Bell would have been like "NO WAY""
