Dink is gonna do the funniest thing in a couple weeks and Pope is gonna be left holding the bag as he signs with another school.
He might be the 1 thing that saves Pope's job. Would be his best recruit by far. Absolute baller.Miika Muurinen is Pope's to lose. I think he suits up for Kentucky.
Considering we haven't guarded a pick and roll in several years through both now Cal and Pope maybe he fits in.I actually think Pope lands this one reading the tea leaves.
Miika would be a nice stretch 4. Great shooting and explosiveness but he struggles being loose with the ball and guarding pick n roll actions. Both of which can be improved upon over the summer.
Maybe an international summer trip is more about rooster building than just basketball games.![]()
Oh he could find a way. He'd probably say they can only play 15 minutes a game or risk fatigue.Muurinen and Stokes. I don't think even Pope could screw that season up if they both landed here. But I can't see him landing 1 let alone both.
I'll believe it when I see it. We've "led" for Stokes, Wilson, Collins, Kinney, Rippey, etc.Miika Muurinen is Pope's to lose. I think he suits up for Kentucky.
Some big ifs in there, but totally agreed. Stokes, Muurinen, and MM would be a nasty good front court. Gimmie an Aberdeen portal clone and Chandler and I’d love that lineup. He is an outstanding player. If we keep MM, this kid would be the perfect player to pair with him in the front court. Would be a huge get.
He may well get neither player, but if Can't Recruit Pope could somehow pull in this kid and Stokes, and keep CC and MM, we would be a legit PG away from being a top 5 team next season
This is your guy thenWe desperately need a stretch 4 to make Popes system work
I've seen some highlights of the guy. But, can he shoot good enough to be an effective stretch 4 or is he just a wannabe stretch 4?This guy is really good. Finish player that plaid in Serbia at the famous Partizan. His parents played for Finland national teams. His mom also played in college at UNC.
he is considering UK, Duke, Michigan, Indiana, UNC, Nc State and Arkansas. Considering he attended a prep school in Az I am surprised is not on his list But probably between Kentucky, UNC , Michigan, and AR.
he wants to play stretch 4 but have the ball in his hands and make decisions.
Pope’s entire system is a stretch. We desperately need a stretch 4 to make Popes system work
Does Jelavic with a little 2nd year jump fit this in your mind? I think he could - he's shown all the skills you'd want as a stretch 4 - but I just can't judge it confidently. If he were a true freshman I'd be real high on what he's shown this season in limited time. I would definitely want him back, but the question I'm not sure about is whether he makes that productivity jump where you want him as your starting PF?We desperately need a stretch 4 to make Popes system work

Supposedly Arkansas lean.
Because UK looked at him with one eye.Why is Miikka Muurinen no longer rated in either Rivals or 24/7? He use to be Top 15 in both.
I'm not as confident as you are that 2nd year Jelavic won't work out, but I'd like to have another option at PF and make Jelavic earn it. Nevertheless, I definitely agree with your Andrew Carr opinion. That old man back robbed us and him of a much more productive PF. Give me a healthy Carr, Butler and Robinson, and I'm pretty excited about going into the Tournament last season. (Even Kriisa would have added a little value spelling Butler and giving a different look at PG).No, he’s a great 10 min backup. MoD needs gone yesterday. I’ll even take an Andrew Carr who I think is really underrated, he was cooking before his back injury. But we need a solid stretch 4. Jelavic doesn’t have it.

And what exactly is this "good chance" based upon?Im also in the camp of we have a good chance to land him. Pate, Stokes and Muurinen all on the same team would be wild. Long shot but 2 of the 3 I actually think end up here.
