How was Pike not able to parlay the tournament appearance into some recruiting momentum? And I'm not talking about taking big time recruits, just even some mediocre recruits that he beat out a few decent teams for? Seams like that should have been very doable,

100% agree. Can’t be competitive in the Big Ten each year with a bunch of under recruited gym rats.

He's also got a $125mm facility essentailly attached to the RAC, and he's had it for a couple of years. I realize that he's the type of coach whose recruiting would pick up, if ever, over time. But right now the class that he has coming in even next year is just as, if not more, concerning than previous classes.

No charmisma, and doesn't seem determined to win in recruiting. Also it seems his pool of options is limited. He wants perfect little angel players, that have never sinned in their lives. He's not attractive - even though he's a proven good coach

He doesn't aggresively recruit the right kids.

JaQuan Harris from central jersey wanted to come to Rutgers, they recruited him for 2 weeks and then never talked to him again. He is a top 150 recruit and ended up at Seton Hall, how can you not recruit a kid who plays in Middlesex County?

This to me makes no sense. The roster has no talent.
pike has proven he can coach. He has had success. We have an electric home court and a shiny new 125million dollar practice facility.
Yet we have a d2 roster.
I don't get it.
