Recruiting Visits...

How is it that Ole Miss gets the last visit with several key recruits eg. Robinson, V. Sanders, Thompson, ect.. It just seems to me that it is a huge advantage to have these players on campus the last weekend of recruiting. Maybe Dan can close the deal the next couple of weeks and he can talk some of these guys into cancelling their visit to the evil empire. Anyway, I was just curious how those visits get set up.

It's just a difference in strategy. Ole Miss apparently prefers to have their big recruiting weekend be later, Mullen prefers ours to be first. There are advantages to both. We get the first shot at these guys, and there's always a chance that you can sway them and get them to cancel the last visit...it's happened before. They get the last shot right before signing day. We'll see how it works out, I really don't know which I'd rather have.
