Good morning. Does anyone have any news or updates on the status of Tulsa's basketball undecided recruits? I am very interested in Emmanuel Ugboh and which direction he might be leaning.

It will be interesting to see if Haith over recruits and then helps some current players with transfers...
I don't always like that, but sometimes it is what is best for the program and it can determine whether a coach gets to keep his job.

Arizona offer is scary.
If he chooses them I hope he's ready to be the first piece of what will likely be a rebuilding from the ashes job. All of the shoe company scandal stuff is going to eventually burn down the Wildcats house?

You know we always can make room for 4star players!
We all know there are at least 2 players who might find more PT elsewhere. I don't even have to speculate and name them here and I'd say 95% of the board knows exactly who I am talking about. All of a sudden our back court is really crowded with the addition of Embery and if we add a BIG it makes another player expendable

Well, the TW reported a new coaching recruit. Kwanza Johnson will join the staff. If he coaches defense like he played it, we will improve. Also, one more coaching change reported with Rod Thompson among possibilities. Shea is staying. Can you imagine....Shea, Kwanza & Rod as assistants? Sounds like the good ol' days.

First stage of what I have been waiting for. Our late 90s teams produced a ton of dedicated smart players. So many, that several of them have moved into the coaching as well as the others who have experienced success in other areas.

These players are entering their 40s now and have been building various levels of success and experience. Hopefully a few of them can begin to show up, reinforce and strengthen the program, as assistants and eventually head coach.

Lou Dawkins is another with a lot of coaching experience and a ton of coaching contacts. Don't forget Kyle Blankenship. I know we all bagged on him as a player but he's doing pretty well in developing his coaching style and being successful at it. Is a D1 assistant coaching position better than an NAIA HC job?

We've had numerous updates in Hurricane Alley, and we'll continue to do so as info comes available.

As for Ugboh specifically, I mentioned last week that he was supposed to visit Miami...I don't believe he has made any other visits. Still waiting on him to make a decision.

If you ever have any questions, feel free to post a thread in Hurricane Alley and tag me with @Chris Harmon.

How much is it to join Hurricane Ally?
