Not a fan of Blye Hill. He's facing extremely low level of competition that he's only marginally better than. There's plenty of guys at that position in the portal who are more tested and have gotten PT and film against actual competition. Don't know why we're settling.

Given our defensive staff’s proven ability to identify and develop under the radar guys, I think your concern is unwarranted.

Why go after an under the radar guy though? There's plenty of appropriately rated, proven guys in the portal we could go after first. I just don't see how it makes sense to go after an under the radar guy at this stage.

If you really trust your evaluations, why would you care about what others think about this vs that guy? If anything, the under the radar guy is probably easier to deal with.

Omar Brown was an FCS player, he is now headed to the East-West Shrine game

Cause as Rhule has stated he wants to get 90% from high school build them up and be very selective on portal guys

Maybe they think this kid has more upside and is a better fit for their defense. Why do you believe you’re qualified to second guess Tony White?

He doesn’t, and I watched his film and trust my eyes. There's a lot of guys out there that are better.

That's a failing strategy in this day and age. Even if Raiola is everything we dreamed of and more meaning he is Heisman caliber, Rhule is a 9 win ceiling head coach. To me, that's not good enough.

Didn’t he win 11 his last year at Baylor?

Edit: won 10 games in 2015 and 2016 at temple, 11 games in 2019 at Baylor.

And who could forget this gem?

To be fair, Matt Campbell probably was the primary target right after Frost was fired. He was one of the hottest names in coaching and had just beaten Iowa on the road. Then he proceeded to lose 8 of the next 9 games.

And he did say eventually, so there's still time

You don't know the first thing about the kid. Why don't you let the coach do his thing and judge the results later ?
