Does it make some Husker fans mad that a lot of these guys comment that they like Raiola?

I'm willing to give him a second chance under Rhule. I definitely called ******** when Rhule tried telling us that he kept Raiola because he actually thinks he's good at coaching. But, so far, Rhule has pretty much been batting a thousand on delivering exactly what he said he would. So, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt on Raiola...for now.

The whole former player thing, cringe. Part of the issue with the past twenty years.
I am all for intelligent commentary from someone who truly understands the game, but I am sick and tired of former players telling us "back in the 90's" stories. Going on and on about how great they were. There's a time and place for it but these guys don't know their place.

That's where I'm at too. If the OL blows again this year, Rhule better move on quickly.

Why in hell would a big time recruit living outside of Kansas want to go to Kansas State?
Probably because the K State O-line Coach Riley is a stud. He's been taking average prospects and developing them for years now. I think he's from Omaha or Lincoln too. And they've probably been recruiting him longer than we have.

Their AG program possibly....They did just win their conference championship and their coach is one of the hottest names in college football right now. KSU is trending in the right direction as much as I hate to admit it.

But for most of T.Os career he and the program were criticized for a soft schedule and losing to the only good teams on the schedule, the September Power 5 matchup, OU, and the bowl game.
This isn't accurate. The criticism of Osborne was simply that "he can't win the big one." It had nothing to do with the schedule and the criticism was directed at late season losses.

All conferences back then usually had two great teams, a good team, a few average teams and a few rotten teams. Our non-conference schedule typically had one really good opponent out of four. That was a standard non-conference schedule for that era.

The AG program is what I had heard as well. NU came in late but they may pull the upset. The players I mentioned are recruiting him hard.

Yep hard to fault a kid for following a degree path that best suits him and sets him up for luge outside of football. But as you mentioned earlier, Nebraska is definitely in the running and I wouldn't be surprised if we end up landing both these 4* OL

I was unaware you could major in luge. It's an Olympic Sport, so I guess that would work. He'd be the biggest damn luger in the history of the sport. :)

Nope,
He did it entirely to himself. A bunch of us were reprimanded a week or so earlier. I did heed the warning, if that can be believed!
Those that did not are the reason for new pinned post at top of page. More than a few seem to have been sent to time out.
Somebody needs to read judge Dowdy’s recent preliminary ruling regarding censorship.

If we added these 2 OL it would turn a decent class into potentially very good class. Both guys have the potential to contribute or possibly start in their freshman or redshirt freshman year.

Nouilli is the only starting senior this year. Unless a couple other starters leave, I doubt they have much of a shot of starting as freshman.

Hopefully Benhart and Corcoran will be much improved now that they're older. But that's probably questionable.

Even if they aren’t improved, I would be shocked if a couple true freshman unseated them. I hope these kids are that good. But it would be pretty surprising.

I hate to say it, but Kstate has something going on down there. Their location, being in the Big12 and the perception of Kstate won't bring them a ton of highly rated guys, but they're going to get those high rated 3* / low level 4* guys commit to them eventually.

I think they have a great shot at both Brix and Benning.

True. But the Big 12 is a dying conference without Texass and OU.

I think a couple other OL may leave, but even so no frosh will start next season.

From the early returns, I do think Gottula starts by his RS Soph year. He looked pretty good in the spring game in what should have been his senior spring in HS.

Our OL is on the rise, hopefully Raiola can coach and last year was an outlier.

Raiola is definitely pulling his weight bringing in these guys. Hopefully the line shows enough improvement this year to keep him around long enough to see what he can do with his recruits.

Old regimes way of thinking for OLine.
