Well, his dad is involved with JSU football, so nothing new. Will come down to State and JSU. That decommit was kinda mutual with LSU too.

If he can coach, his ability to attract talent should make JSU easily dominant in the SWAC. If he can put that talent in the NFL, he will be a force to contend with for the foreseeable future. I like seeing kids take a chance on lifting up an underdog. Hope it works out for them.

I predict that Coach Prime flames out within 2-3 years. His son is one of the most overrated prospects I can ever remember. 4* quarterback and in the ESPN 300 but was committed to Florida Atlantic before flipping to Jackson State? I don’t buy that anyone else was going to let him play QB.

Also, I love Prime but I think there’s going to be a big cultural divide between himself and the 18-22 year olds he’s trying to coach. I heard him giving an interview a couple days ago and he was talking about how he was going to have zero tolerance for marijuana and how he would cut players for stuff like curfew violations. I think he’s in for a rude awakening.

I was surprised. He’s VERY anti-marijuana. Even said that he disagrees with medical marijuana. Part of me respects his stance, even if I don’t agree with it. The other part of me was thinking, “he better hope recruits don’t hear this.”
