Everything but SFs, while Duke seems to struggle most with PGs and until recently, top 10 Bigs.

We don't get a lot of prototypical SFs, but it's not for a lack of effort.

I think the biggest issue is that there just aren't many of those guys who play at an elite level each year.

But we do get more than our share of big guards and stretch Fours.

Briscoe won't return next season if he keeps playing and shooting anything close to what he is now. He gone.

Not so sure. His shooting is greatly improved but still subpar by NBA standards. He's not on draft boards as far as I can tell and he is NOT a situation where it's as good as it gets for him.

He almost went last year and he's way better now. I could be wrong but he seems, similar to the Harrison's, to want to be in the NBA and will probably go for it, whatever the boards say.

And if he keeps his shooting numbers where they are, he'll be on the draft boards very soon.

Funniest thing about your signature is that the idiot didn't realize it would be reviewed.

Can you drop a name or location

I can't. It's guards however.

The only reason I know is that I'm looking at some JUCO's myself and one JUCO in particular I am in talks with a post player (not great but may be worth a take on my level) where as UK has made feelers about their stud.

Interesting JUCO fact is that most JUCO recruiting doesn't take place until the spring, since so many JUCO kids were partial qualifiers or non-qualifiers. Coaches want to see those transcripts.

Good points. I am also of the opinion that we will also get Young. I have never see Diallo play so know very little about him. Some say he can't shoot other says he can. But young can shoot from what little I have seem of him. So can Cal convince Young to come and play at UK as a SG ?

This where I think Cal sales "position-less" basketball. He'll try to sale Young on playing PG with another PG (Green) with another PG (Alexander) coming off the bench to rest one of them. When Briscoe and Fox are playing together Fox is the primary playmaker as far as being the main PG but when Briscoe gets the ball he plays like a PG also. I think it takes a lot of pressure off both of them and allows them to play a lot looser.

Seems like a lot of JUCO transfers take a year to adjust to playing at the highest level.

Do you see any JUCOS who look like can't miss success stories for next season?

Well I know that Greens people were told it was either or. I also know Young's dad said that Cal told them about recruiting Greene and it did not phase them. Another thing I do know is Cal got pretty pissed at the underhanded recruiting tactics going on. I just seem to get a we know something you don't know vibe from Cal and Young's camp. Think theyre may be some intentional misdirection going on with recruiting now. Could be a 18 that reclassifies, it could be a a grad transfer we already know is going to come available.
Now that being said the NBA gave feedback to Briscoe and he may get more feedback this year and comeback again who knows it is doubtful. The player I would not be shocked at all to come back is Gabriel if he is out of the lottery. I think he made comments about being here more than one year. The thing to remember for both Briscoe and Gabriel is that next year's draft is super loaded and that's not including foreign players. Plus most of the high profile freshman seem to be living up to their hype except the duke trio who we haven't seen yet. If Briscoe can become a bonafide threat from the outside not just adequate but an actual weapon then he could go top 5 in the year after next. The kid from OK last year was pretty mediocre from outside his first couple of years not Briscoe bad but not good either.

Cal is the best or 2nd best recruiter (depends on how you feel about Coach K)...so recruiting usually works out for UK.

But next year has all signs of being a decent but not a great team as Cal tends to have the every other year is an elite team and every other year we sort of play to a 4 seed type of season (9-10 losses). All signs point to one of those type of seasons next year.

I don't think it's an every other year thing. When the incoming freshman class (as a whole) is strong UK will be a contender, when it's not they won't

Not to my knowledge. The kid that UK is supposedly is keeping an eye out on isn't at the level for a UK in my mind.

I doubt he'll 'be able to say' but sounds like UNC.

NOT UNC, but I'd work their in a heartbreak. Would be a heck of a pay raise.
