If money isn't a deciding factor in things, we better up out budget considerably.

I think it's silly, but if it works, it works.

IMO, this is part of the reason why taking your family to the game is no longer a viable option for many. The cost to maintain a big time college athletic department continues to go up, and somebody has to foot the bill.

Take the cost of four game tickets, plus gas for the trip, a night in a hotel, meals, concessions at the game, and a couple tshirts or souvenirs for the kids. You can be looking at close to $1,000 to attend just one game. A lot of folks just can’t afford that.

This reminds me of of some other entities and their spending.

I read all the comments about, monopoly money, we have it, spend it, etc.

There isn't an unlimited supply, someone has to pay it and it can't last forever at this rate.
