I have NO inside info... my intuition leans to Woliczko. Murray and Kussow as the 2026 recruiting class. I would be well satisfied by those 3, although I would love to see Bjorn AND others on the list discussed on this site would be good additions. Hoping for the best... you go ladies!

Not much buzz on Kussow lately, I believe some of the teams she was considering have commitments from players that align with her position projections. Hard to gauge her actual Iowa interest, Hearing of her wanting to take an official visit would change the landscape but that hasn’t happened yet

Think you may be right about Kussow having to recalibrate after commitments by other players (especially Cosgriff to Michigan). Kussow had told Goodman that she wanted to commit by the end of June, which obviously didn’t happen.

I thought I read somewhere that Iowa wasn’t even on Kussow’s final list. I could be thinking of someone else though.

Does Lower get an offer?

Not yet. She’s visiting Arizona State this week, I think. Missouri is bringing her in on a visit in September. Those 2 offered last week. Jan was watching her at Nike Chicago but no offer yet. Lower made 2nd team all EYBL there.

I know Battle has scheduled a visit during the U Mass weekend. Any word on whether Murray or Stewart visiting?

Excellent interview! However, one segment caught my attention. The interviewer asked her about how McKenna could make her commitment announcement and she responded by saying something to affect of if she picked Iowa she could make the announcement on Pat McCaffery's show. I assume she meant Pat McAfee but who knows lol.

I noticed that too. She did say "if it's Iowa, there's the Pat McCaffery show". Assuming she meant the Pat McAfee show, what would the tie to Iowa be?

Just seems like Iowa vs SC with an Iowa lean.. like saying she’s got to take this Iowa visit then she can commit. Not an exact quote.

Feel like if the Iowa OV goes well it’s Iowa. Hope I’m not wrong.
I totally agree. My interpretation of her subtle comments lean in our favor.

I recall reading an article, in addition to the video, after her SC visit that struck me as lukewarm.

It sounds like family atmosphere, team, teammates, and culture are very important to her (as well they should be). I think we have a big edge over SC.

I’m cautiously optimistic on this one!

A couple dominos have to fall in the right direction for Lower to get an Iowa offer.

She tore it up in Chicago and quite a few schools did some additional due diligence on her (I heard from 4 schools about her in the first few days after the tourney) but not sure what additional offers will come before she wants to commit.

I wonder if it will be too late if they do. I know she was jacked about the Missouri offer. Illinois State is dumbfounded she hasn’t gotten more high offers.

When she took an unofficial to Iowa last season her whole family had a great time from all reports. The football team did a thing for her little brother as well, and Dad really appreciated that. I'm sure she'll get the full court press from Stremlow (who has become the "new den mom" ) and Addie Deal. Iowa just seems like a no brainer, as she is exactly what this team needs to go to the next level. An Athletic 3/4. Besides we've been without another McKenna for several years. Its time!

Not to mention with Hannah graduating, there will be plenty of minutes at PF. Mallegni will be the only player on the roster at that position. Definitely a position of need.

Edit: Jan likes a four out, one in offense. McKenna is a very good perimeter shooter as is Mallegni. Perfect fit for Iowa's offense.

Not familiar with Lower’s game, but are the dominoes Lewis and Kussow going elsewhere?
She is legit one of the top 5 outside shooters in the country. Like Legend said, she was lights out at Nike. Averaged 5-6 threes a game while being faceguarded for a lot of it. 4th leading scorer there I think. I am not confident about Lewis but that’s just gut feeling.

Absolutely. She plays right away at Iowa quite a bit probably. At USC who knows. Staley has had some great players that didn't play much the first couple of years

Battle (#42) is visiting next month and has a solid relationship with Barrett. Have not heard if Murray or Stewart having visits scheduled yet.
