The drops were obviously bad, but it seemed like their blocking was as well. I haven't rewatched the game, but it sure seemed like they were whiffing and / or not holding their blocks.

Frost touched on this during his press conference. Said some runs/bubbles could have been bigger gains if the blocking was executed.

It was bad. I have watched the game back and I was really dissappointed with everything from the wideout group. Poor blocking a lot of drops and lazy route running. A group that talented needs to be better.

Agreed, this wasn’t one of there best performances. That’s for sure. But I’m not worried. This is a deep and very talented group. They will pick up and will see better play out of them from here on out. It was only the first game. Heck, I bet we see a big jump as soon as the Troy game.
