I heard a rumor on TV about Ole Miss possibly going after Cut to clean up the mess down there. Has anyone else heard it?

Ain't gonna happen. It would take Urban Meyers at least 5 plus years to get that program in shape. It's not like there were 10-2 last year. Cut's where he wants to be. I'll eat some of wanda's "nanner puddin" if Cut goes there. OFC

Didn't Cut already turn down Tennessee? Why would he want to go to Mississippi?

Cut never turned down UT. He was on the initial list of coaches, that the search firm UT hired, but the 3 guys UT looked at seriously were Charlie Strong, John Gruden, and Butch Jones.

I hope Cut stays at Duke but understand him entertaining the thought regarding Ole Miss HC. They would pay him $4million/yr and his coordinators would make close to what he makes as Duke HC.

They met with Les Miles according to some of the reports back home in Baton Rouge.

I hope that he nor Coach Cut goes there.

Matt Luke was an assistant under Cut. Matt has stated that Ole Miss is his dream job. Do you think The classiest coach in D1 would undermine a former assistant, even if they offered it to him?

Matt Luke was in the process of taking the OL job at South Carolina in January vs staying at Ole Miss as the OL coach and Co-Offensive coordinator. Ole Miss higher ups had to promise Luke the HC job in the case Freeze got fired or resigned this year.

I wouldn't imagine there is a ton of loyalty to Luke moving forward from the fan base or Athletic Department once the above story leaked out regarding South Carolina. If this wouldn't have happened so quickly, doubt Ole Miss would have even honored their agreement with Luke.
