Meh...but Gill? Why does he feel the need to take a fading 3 with a hand in his face? Those guys HAVE to know their teammates who have been hot and they HAVE to get them the ball. IF we take a TO and you have Miles scheming offense against Self scheming D, who's gonna win that one? We just needed them to get the ball to Watson or Palmer and get the hell out of the way.
Miles is not a good coach..
KU gets 2 good looks coming out of timeouts, NU doesn't even bother taking one.
What's the one thing you can't do, up 2 with less than 30 secs left? That's right, give up an open 3.......
Some guys call TO, some don’t. Roy Williams never calls timeout there, expects the kids to know the situation and doesn’t want the D to get set. I have a lot of issues with Miles in-game management, but had no problem with letting them go there.
Seems like the game was played straight up all night, just take a t.o. to catch your breath, tell a joke, loosen them up, game it for Watson or Palmer, give yourself a better chance to pull the upset. Oh well, players played hard and gave it their best, can't ask for more from them.
I'm okay with not calling the timeout but I don't want the ball in Gill's hands. Would have been worth a timeout just to get Allen back on the court.
Yeah I just mean that in general I'm not big on calling timeout so the coach can draw up a play. But to get the right players on the floor - yes.
Yep, allowing the ball to be in Gill's hands at the end is something that SHOULD NOT have happened!
don't give up a 3 no matter what...worst case, you get the last shot or go to OT against a team with little depth....and we give up a 3.
I question Miles X's and O's ability as much as the next guy but he made the right call not calling a TO imo. Obviously it didn't work out for us but in no am I calling a TO and letting Self and one of the best defenses in the nation go to the clipboard.

Right or wrong shooter, they got exactly the shot they wanted. The defense to allow a 3 was worse. Didn't help they basically were allowed to run a fullback full speed and disguise it as a "pick" on their 3.
Yeah that was about as obvious as an illegal screen can get, and it knocked Gill completely out of the play.
This maybe his best team let’s see what unfolds in conference play..
If he wins 20 games I don’t see Moos letting him go.
