Two interesting tweets.. I sometimes cringe when I see what our recruits and players tweet

(Of course, if this player was a 5* it might not matter..)

Recruits 1st thing we do after we watch Ur tape is find Ur social media accounts! If they are bad we move on! RT,Likes, everything counts!

Came across an awful Twitter account today. Shame the kid was a really good player...On to the next one...get a clue!

I remember a while back there was a recruit of ours who had some really bad tweets and the board was split as to whether it was a red flag. Younger guys were lecturing the older guys about how they didn't understand Twitter. Wish I could remember who it was and if that turned out to be one of the idiots who brought down our program.

As an older guy, I admit I don't always "get" Twitter and Instagram, but I certainly can tell when to use caution based on what some are posting, liking, and retweeting.

It was Dre Boggs.

I'm friends with someone who works with high school students with admissions to college. 4 of his clients this year have had a college acceptance rescinded because of their social media. It isn't about young vs old; have some common sense about what you post.

Pretty sure it was not Dre Boggs, and it was Yuri Wright!
Except a wright was not our recruit...he was ND.

Trust me whether Boggs tweets were discussed here, there were videos of people getting beat up and a lot of use of that single letter that gets so discussed.

Wright a former 4* went to Colorado. I don't know if he gets PT there or not.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Neither your age, nor your social networking skills, have anything to do with being an idiot or calling one out.

Wright didn't play a minute when I saw Colorado at SC a few years ago. Pretty sure he has well moved on by now.

Everyone checks social media. I go there before looking at a kids resume. I'm shocked by what I see sometimes.

Most people understand that, but unfortunately, a not quite insignificant percentage of posters here feel the need to defend some horrible stuff under the guise of "you don't understand, gramps".

Wright retweeted offensive song lyrics and was expelled from Bosco as a result. As others stated, there was much debate here about whether we should take him and opinion was pretty much split.
