They deserve it. They hired a good coach, something our incompetent leadership couldn’t do until earlier this month.
Some of those "Iowa fans" are just trolls masquerading as Iowa fans. There is a band of internet losers who have nothing better to do than find two hostile fan bases and then infiltrate each other's board to rile people up. I bet Iowa boards have similar "Nebraska fans" trolling their boards.
Overall, every fan base does have their share of loudmouths who like to beat their chest. I've never met a fan base exempt from that affliction. But every fan base also has decent fans who don't deserve to be grouped with the degenerates.
We have no issue looking at our program saying "it sucks". So yeah, at the moment Iowa sucks slightly less than Nebraska, but not much. We both kinda suck. Over the next decade? We'll see.

I don't think Iowa "sucks" nearly as bad as Nebraska. We won twice as many games against the nation's 5th hardest schedule, and return everyone worth a damn except Josey Jewell, Wadley, and Josh Jackson next year. There are plenty of reasons to be optimistic about Iowa going forward.
That coach of the year award Frost has? Kirk has a few of those too, and another four Big Ten CotY awards. But he "sucks" so why would Frost be any better? Clearly it doesn't mean anything to Husker fans if lowly Kirk can get one?

Not happy with 8-5, but not miserable. Nebraska wishes it went 8-5 this year. We played one of the toughest schedules in the country and were only outclassed at Wisconsin. With our schedule and what we return, 10 wins should be the floor for Iowa in 2018. Just helping to keep you guys "the most knowledgeable fans in college football."
