I hope they all return to Duke, that means we should get Bamba.

If Giles doesn't go after this year, he may never get drafted. His "potential" is his biggest upside.

I want Bamba too, but even with Richards, Bamba, SKJ and Wynyard, who is gonna score at the 5? None of those 4 are likely candidates. We are gonna have solid rebounding and rim protection from Richards and Bamba, but neither are blessed offensively yet.

Hope recruits read this stuff.

I wonder if Mama Bolden feels as good as she did on announcement day? I don't wish any ill on the kid, but Cal means it when he says it's player's first here. K...not so much.

I love it and hate it. Means Duke likely gets one or two of them back plus the number 1 or 2 recruiting class.

I do feel bad for Giles, that guy was really special.

The downside...

Each of these guys could return and make Duke very good next year...

Nope. If Giles returns to college, Dukes OAD days will take a massive hit. And Cal would be stupid to not use it on the recruiting trail.

You know Bill Self will. Even though he's got little room to talk.

Would you love it if all 3 returned next year?
Grayson & Bolden highly likely to.

As someone who saw Duke as a threat to UK for legacy of the decade and for OAD recruits about 6 years ago, I don't care.

Bolden is going to need a lot of work to be able to make Duke solid. I knew he'd be back at college anyway. He's a 4 year player.

Grayce is an absolute nut case. I fear him little.

Tatum is gone.

Giles is broke anyway, next year won't change his mental state. I don't think he'll ever be the same

I'm not one to downplay Duke and the threat they've posed, but I honestly think K's window is shrinking, I just wish Cal would take more control over our situation.

They will be good next year at the least.

For sure, I'm just hoping K doesn't get another one before he leaves, or at least before we get our next one. I'd love to be wrong about the whole "Duke gonna take our mojo and be the poster child of OAD titles" thingy.

Coach K has got to be close to retiring. I mean I think he turns 71 this year, and this back issue has to be tough. I'm hoping he does, but odds are he'll talk these morons into coming back next year and claim it's his "last year", then do an announcement just before next season that he plans to retire, thus resulting in an entire year of Puke / K slurping everywhere we look.

As much as I want him to retire and leave Duke in shambles, if he announces that any season will be his "last", the media's constant banter about his greatness will be almost unbearable.

I think Giles leaves. Allen and Bolden will probably be back.

I think Kennard should leave. His stock is as high as it is going to get. He's a rich boy, though, so he might stick around, too.

Silver lining: Allen, Kennard, and Jackson will be jacking shots, so hopefully Knox will pick being the star at UK over fighting those guys for shots.

Giles seems to have a body that is just not cut out for basketball.

If you have had surgery on each knee by the age of 19, that's not a very promising sign.

I'd say Tatum, Giles definitely gone. Bolden and Jackson possibly though I'd guess Jackson stays . Kennard and Allen will be back. They're stock is what it is. Not gonna change by staying or going. Kyle Singler types.

They have 16 guys listed on their roster, im sure 3 are walk ons. They have 2 seniors in Jefferson and Matt Jones. They need one to leave early so i assume it will be Tatum to make room for their 3 commits.

In order to get any more commits they need to have some guys leave the program. Who is going to be on the chopping block??

Washington is a gifted scorer and I think Gabriel can provide some punch too.

Even Anthony Davis didn't score at a big clip on our 2012 team. His value was being a tenacious defender, shot blocker and rebounder.

Scoring will not be a concern with most of Cal's teams, defense has been.

Bolden is the one we need to return as they already have carter coming in at the 4. It's funny how bolden was once the 7th overall pick lol. Bamba will step right in and start here no doubt about it. Plus you know diallo is keeping him posted and green is in his ear constantly. I'm not expecting Knox as I think he ends up at unc which is fine since they are losing Jackson who is similar to Knox and they're I'll be losing more. I know young is probably a pipe dream but if we get him bamba and junco/grad player than I can live with that. Yes I know Langford is out there but I would much rather have young and green as they will be multi year players and will be here for a solid back court for atleast two years. Even with diallo here cal will make sure young plays atleast 20 mins a game till he starts his sophomore yr. missing on bolden was a blessing in disguise. Bamba being good friends with diallo and green gives us the advantage. Sure he is raw on offense, but he is that big you need in the center to protect the rim

I get the feeling Allen will be gone too. I just remember a Duke fan saying last year the plan was for him to graduate in 3 years.

I don't think defense has been much of a concern before this season.
