Tennessee seniors never lost a game at home to Kentucky. Also won in Rupp.

Every sec team is battling for second place the next 100 years. The lead is that big...
But to be fair, the current NCAA tournament hasn't always been this way.
As most of you know you had to win league to get the one invite and college basketball was regionally based for a long time.
Lots of great teams have missed out on the NCAA tournament back in the day.
And what was the reason that UT didn’t win the league to get that invite?
Tenn fans don't give a squat about those numbers. They just want to beat the Cats whenever they can. Trying to compare all-time Tenn basketball with all-time KY basketball is the same as trying to compare all-time KY football to all-time Tenn football.
The tournament may have changed, but one thing stays the same: Tennessee isn’t around for the last weekend of it.
Obviously the Cats would be the answer but, I do have to say that Tenn has never put the same relevance in basketball that the Cats have. Not a defense for them but, it is fact

Yes but we have a title in football, more in basketball than you in football, have won more important bowl games than your basketball team has won outside of the first weekend and we are better in football currently.
You have nothing and could win no argument to an outsider...

They could put it right beside that ONE Elite 8 banner. Haha! That's embarrassing, by the way, to even hang that banner.
Tennessee probably won't make the Final Four this season, either. I almost feel sorry for them, being a Tennessee native, but the way these folks acted leading up to our first game and then again this evening makes me not too sad. It's called class and these Vols have none.
Like to reference football ion a basketball message board much. Lol. Take a look at your miserable history in college hoops and know your place with regards to kentucky.

Our senior never lost a game at home to UT either and we got all these cool banners hanging around where we beat alot of people in important games your seniors never saw those hanging in your stadium, so what's your point?
Well when you have tenn history in hoops you have to grab onto anything you can.

The 1938 and 1940 are legit imo but definitely not 1967. Not sure about 1950 but I think so.
Should really claim 1939 and 1956 over 1967.

Anything before the modern era is heavily biased, really unofficial and solely based on polls as opposed to winning a tournament
That's all well and good but actually shows how Calipari has let the program slip to where also-rans are passing him by.
Here is the nature of the rub with UT and UK fans....
- UT wants to act like UT football is on par with UK b-ball...and it isn't even reality in any universe.
- UT b-ball isn't quite as bad as UK football....but the chasm between the #1 above is enormous..

They won a National title title in 98 agsinst a weak field and a third string QB from FSU. Other than women’s basketball that is their only title in the last 100 years. They are much like IU. They think they are relevant but they are not.
Congratulations on the win. UK looked disinterested and got out hustled by UT, who was out to seek revenge for the previous loss.
Very impressed with Barnes and keeping these guys focused for the year: Having the luxury of three and four year players who know their roles.
My guess is LSU will wrap up the SEC regular season trophy, as they have the easiest schedule and the upper hand in wins.
The SEC tourney becomes more important for UK’s young team. Hopefully, they will bounce back against Ole Miss and get on a roll for the NCAA. They are freshmen and are up and down, but really concerned about the mental toughness right now. Ole Miss will beat them if the Cats come out with the same degree of alacrity.

I’m not sure how you claim a title with 2 losses in 1967. Seems helms bannerish.
UT went 7-2 against us in my 4 years at UK. They beat us 3 times in Lexington. Thing is the year we won both we also won a national championship. And then UT didn’t win in Lexington again for like 20 years. Your program pops up every couple decades or so, but always flops in the postseason. Just like it did last year. UT won both rs games, but lost to UK in the SEC title game. You’ll flop in the postseason season again this year.
