I do want to see a RB with more rushing yds than Our QB. Pass for over 100 yds. Get a sack, force two punts, break two plays or more over 10 yds. Keep them under 30 at half though I had a very clear dream of them getting 28 in 1st qtr...
I have nothing to complain about. We did everything except the under 30 at half...

Here is something I hope our next HC considers...The spread with a dual threat QB can work here. If you watch JL, imagine if that was a true 4 star dual threat QB leading the offense. I think JL is playing his heart out and he gets props for that but he is not up there as an average to above average at this level. (BTW- he would probably kill it if had had dropped down a level)
And I have always been a pro set guy but we do need to have a QB that can keep a defense on their toes.

+1

Whatever works for the Program on Saturday is much more important than what might happen for a few individuals on Sunday.

You win more on Saturday, by default (because of the Conference and division we play in) we should have more Sunday-type guys.

We almost accomplished under 30 at the half. One thing I thought we could have done better was to snap the ball with less time on the clock during the game. Too many times we snapped it in the teens on the play clock. Our last drive before they got the ball to go to 35 at the half, we had an incompletion on first down and did not snap with 3 seconds or so on the others. Shortening the game should have been a focus throughout. Minor complaint.

The whole board probably knows I've been advocating for a spread but I don't think it needs to be a dual threat qb in the sense where the qb can make big plays with his legs say like a Hurts at OU and JT Barrett at OSU or maybe McSorley at PSU. I think that's what a lot of people picture in their mind when they think of dual threat qb in a spread. I mean it's great if you can get it but I don't know that it's necessary....on top of which you might want a couple of them because if a there's a heavy reliance on the qb running the risk of injury increases unless you got a mack truck qb.

I just think the qb needs to be "mobile enough" as in can pick up 5-6 yds or a long 9yd first down if an opening is there or a play breaks down.....maybe occasionally can break a big 15-20 yd gain but it doesn't have to be someone who is a big threat with his legs on any given play. I mean great if you can get it but I don't think it's necessary. IMO as long as the qb is "mobile enough" that's fine and I think many qbs have that much ability....I'm more interested in the better passer than the better runner.

Very pleased with the outcome yesterday. Was afraid they would hit 70 and we wouldn’t score. NEVER thought we would score THREE touchdowns.

Agree. Put a young QB like an Adrian Martinez from Nebraska behind our current team and we are a much greater threat on offense.

Best case for us is if Greg can land a top QB in his first or second class imo.

This was closer than most of Ohio State's games this year, and the 21 points we scored is tied for the most Ohio State has given up all season.

While real victories count.. I think moral victories are important... it certainly beats the alternative of a bad loss and a team quitting.

with a bigger OL and we could score on anyone. Just have to recruit, recruit, recruit, recruit, recruit, recruit, recruit, recruit, and recruit!

Sure but IIRC he's been hurt multiple times in his career. Like I said above unless you got a mack truck type qb risk of injury increases if you're going to make their running an integral part of the offense.
