I was watching the game yesterday while playing in a poker tournament. I saw Smith get hurt, but I didn't have the audio. What happened? Is he going to be able to play going forward?

I asked Kelly Hines about it on twitter. She said she will ask about it at media availability at 3pm today. Difficult to ascertain what happened as TU has not said anything and Smitty was on the bench later in the game. Looking at the way he was hanging his arm, he may have dislocated the shoulder and had it popped back into place. As long as there is no structural damage to tendons/ligaments outside of the normal strain, he may be able to go or miss a game and be back. John Fitzgerald, former TU QB, used to have that shoulder subluxation happen occasionally where his shoulder would pop out because the ligaments were stretched out. I suppose the positive is he was back on the bench later and it was his left (non-shooting) shoulder.

Thanks. I thought it looked like a dislocated shoulder. Wasn't there a basketball player that had this problem also? Kurtz maybe?

Maybe, but I don't remember the specifics. Jonny Gendrom had a variety of issues he had to get over...maybe the shoulder issue was one, but I know he had some concussion issues that eventually ended his basketball playing days.

I believe Joe Richard dislocated his shoulder against Oklahoma State in 2009 and returned to play in that game.

Oh man, was that the game Wheatley played like a nerdluck that had become a monstar? I'm pretty sure I thought during that game "Oh wow Wheatley has it finally figured out he's going to be really good!" and then went back to avg. about 4 pts and nobody guarded him on the 3 after it.

JMFR wasn't really the same after that injury, either. Or Travis Ford is the only coach incompetent enough not to figure out to pack it in against that team.

Latest tweet was that Rashad was going to give it a go in practice today. Tells me it's sore but not something that is season ending right now.

How did Doug screw that team up so much. Ugh.

Uzoh, Hurtt, Idlet, Jerome. :(:mad::(

By playing Wheatley so much. It was so frustrating watching that team because the opposing team would simply not guard Bishop, which left the inside clogged and no lanes for Uzoh and Hurtt to drive.

Elizabeth?
Whoa, is that the original Rippin from the old days? I figured you were banned for eternity. I have to say, you went out in the single most colossal blaze of a meltdown that I've ever seen. It was monstrous.
