I asked Kelly Hines about it on twitter. She said she will ask about it at media availability at 3pm today. Difficult to ascertain what happened as TU has not said anything and Smitty was on the bench later in the game. Looking at the way he was hanging his arm, he may have dislocated the shoulder and had it popped back into place. As long as there is no structural damage to tendons/ligaments outside of the normal strain, he may be able to go or miss a game and be back. John Fitzgerald, former TU QB, used to have that shoulder subluxation happen occasionally where his shoulder would pop out because the ligaments were stretched out. I suppose the positive is he was back on the bench later and it was his left (non-shooting) shoulder.
