I am having a great time with the season. I am programmed to look at things objectively and rationally. It is absolutely crazy how people are taking 4 games and saying we are now better than Purdue.
Ok. Watch tomorrow and remember Purdue is home where they have only lost to Wisconsin with Davis scoring 37 and see how both teams play , offensively and defensively , then for everything that does not show up on the stat sheet. Nothing can change your mind. All good.

What did I say about this team 3 weeks ago? Go back and look at what I have said about certain players.

I have been wrong about a ton of things this year and my opinions have changed. This 4 game streak has been shocking. paul’s turn around has been amazing.

my mind changes. I admit when I am wrong.

I don’t think anyone said that. It’s also fair to say Rutgers is playing better than anyone in the big ten right now. Doesn’t mean RU will win at Mackey but they easily can.

If we go up 10 or something in the second half Purdue will fold, saying here we go again. And believing the press clippings about RU. Just like Illinois losing a bunch in the RAC, Purdue’s minds will be on how they haven’t beaten us in a long time. It’s all mental

Greenie, what do you think about Paul’s defense recently?
All core players are doing night and day better job closing out on shooters. He is doing a great job as a help defender and is getting a lot of touches/tips on D. He will never be a good on ball defender, but with everyone doing their job he doesn’t need to be.

Very pleased with the entire team defensively. There has been a gradual improvement all year.

Not even close to being a long shot if you have watched Purdue the last 4-5 games and watched Rutgers the last 4-5 games. The only thing they are lucky to have is the game is being played on their home court. That is it.
12.5 point dog is definitely a longshot.

Thanks. That is what I am seeing. The help D on this team has been very good, and it makes up for some individual areas of weakness.

I loved Paul’s help D on MSUs Hall in the 2nd half when Hall tried to post Mag. Paul just quickly doubled, attacking the ball for the jump call that went our way. Just gangster on Paul’s part.

And the amount of tips/deflections we are getting is insane, especially from Caleb.

Gotta really bring it against Purdue. We are going to get their very best today.
