Stupid post. Pearl now has one final four. Cal has what 3 ff, 1 championship, and 7 ee in ten years
Come on man... Pearl’s came against CAL, as a 4 1/2 pt dog, with his best player down... it was on a silver platter, and CAL couldn’t get it done... I appreciate everything he’s done, but the players first philosophy has to die......

Cal is a great recruiter and motivator...one of the best in the league. His in-game coaching and game management is well behind the coaches that the SEC is bringing in. I love Cal, but the truth is the truth.

A coach that takes a program that has no tradition in basketball and basically was a doormat in the conference and makes it into an SEC power. Think about it

They aren't an SEC power. They finished 4th or 5th in the conference and got hot to go on this run. Let's not anoint them as champions every year just yet.

But in my original statement I wasn't alluding to them being a champion every year. I would say they would be in the say top 5 every year.

They aren't an SEC power. Until their winning streak to end this year they weren't even an SEC power this year.

This is silly.

Looking at the whole picture- which includes recruiting, post season success and measurables beyond a lone season - id rank the current top 5 as:

1) Calipari
2) Pearl
3) White
4) Howland
5) Barnes

Power? This once in school history run makes them a power?

I hope they win it all, but you have a lower level definition of the word power compared to me.

CAL

Flavor of the month or whoever you all get excited about as the wind blows. It was Barnes not too long ago who choked so now I guess it's the cheater hog himself.

History doesn't set the future. It's may help to predict it based on historical facts but never dictates the future

You're trying to predict the future but claiming that Auburn is now a power and that this is not an anomaly. You could be right... maybe it happens, but until then it's asinine to label them as such.

How so they currently are. Until otherwise when the future is played out we will know. So we would have to go with the current facts instead of resorting to historical facts. Yes No?

No. One decent season doesn't make you a power. It means you have one good team.

They were a power house this season correct?

No. They finished 5th in the league. Far from a powerhouse. They have had a good run to end the season, which is what matters most, but they definitely weren't a powerhouse.

LOL jackass. Dawkins over Cal, huh. Please post an argument to freaking Dawkins over Cal, and if you get 20 likes, I will personally mail you $100 or never post here again.

Basically your telling me there season is a fluke. What bring you to this conclusion?

I didn't say it was a fluke. You did.

Still, there are times when a team can win a title or make a great run and it just be the perfect setup. Kevin Ollie comes to mind. Tubby Smith comes to mind.

Dawkins was the epitome of subpar at Stanford.
I don’t think he is a great coach, and I expect a return to form next year.
