The men who set up this government that has survived for 234 years and governs a country people still risk dying to enter daily had some principles outlined in this thing called the Constitution. These guys knew about alcohol, marijuana, opioids, coca leaves, caffeine, nicotine, and probably other stuff like psilocybin. They chose to leave legislating "drug laws" to "the several states". Which is why the federal government's prohibition on ergotamine, and their pressure to stop its manufacture worldwide is BS. The legality of producing LSD should be left up to the states. Oh...and BTW....I'm a conservative "redneck" who thinks manufacturing and distributing acid should be legal.

I'm still trying to figure out why some of y'all are acting like this incident was some sort of major deal. The Rams OL and the Broncos DL had an argument that escalated to the point that Gregory hit him and the OL hit back.

Yep. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact the Broncos got completely embarrassed on the field and everything to do with marijuana. Damn you weed. Makes a person just want to throw down......
Cannabis will and should be legal in all 50 states. Same with gambling and online sports betting. States have been throwing away money for decades. There is no sane argument against it, other than old heads talking religion and morality like morons that burnt women as witches. Morality police and Eagle fans, both are the worst society has to offer.

For me, my biggest bugaboo has been the lack of a good DUI test and standard. I've heard people try to claim it doesn't affect driving that much, which is BS. Maybe not as much as alcohol, but let's not pretend it doesn't. There are systems out there similar to a breathalyzer, don't know if they're 100% implementable yet but that's really what we need IMO. Both for the sake of the officers and those using THC. THC can show up for awhile in drug tests, so those aren't a good standard because you could pop while not impaired.

This is a lazy response which is not becoming of you. Lots of Olds like their weed. There are real risks and negatives associated with its use, period. That doesn't mean its use can't be beneficial in certain situations.

Alcohol has no medical use and has a high rate of abuse.
Alcohol is and will always be a bigger threat to health and safety than marijuana.
Not only, but if alcohol is legal it's hard justify banning other substances. Especially marijuana which grows naturally and doest even need to be brewed or distilled.

It doesn't make the negative effects of weed any less negative because something else may also have a negative effect. Weed has been around and will always be around. Drugs laws don't help society. If you were honest, you'd admit that the war has been lost and another approach is necessary. But me thinks you don't wanna give your opponents a win and will continue to act like Carry Nation.

Yes, many people don't want weed to be legal because of prejudices and party tribalism. Some even think euphoria is a sin and morally wrong. FYI, weed was found in Jewish temples so they were probably getting high during ceremonies.
I'm not a fan on the high thc weed going around but I'm not going to tell ones that they can't have/use it. I prefer the weed of the late 90s. That weed is about as benign as you are gonna get and is what I'm shooting for. Everything has trade offs and weed is much more forgiving than the vast majority of drugs.
