True, one of the more successful V.C.'s I worked with in Silicon Valley used to unwind with the weed. He was also the highest ranked independent Superbike racer in his early 40's. That isn't to say that weed helped him, just that A LOT of very successful, balanced people also smoke weed. Hell, some people let cough syrup addiction ruin their careers and lives. "Cough" "JaMarcus Russell".
