Random thought while watching JoeMo's airport arrival

I'm not really a fan of "Hail State!", but since it's here, shouldn't we change out little "Go! State! Go State!" cheer to Hail State! ??

All I know is MSU needs to have a mandatory cheer course so people can say them properly. We sounded like bumbling idiots yesterday.

A reasonable thought, but I think that chant is the only thing we've done uninterrupted before games for my entire life. I don't think changing it would be a good idea.

We started it while I was in school (I think, early '80s) and I never liked it very much either. So I just wanted to combine a cheer I don't like with a slogan I don't like. I think its called "synergy"!

As much as we blame this on the students, the drumline plays the beat too fast. They should copy the beat from Rock and Roll Part 2.

And yet the students are faster?? I have not been able to make it to a game for a couple of years, so things may have changed, but as a former drumline member, I can guarantee you they are not the problem.

Yep!! Sounds horrible out of time with the band. Maybe they need a bouncing ball and words on the jumbo tron to keep the crowd in time!
