I’ve picked up on it too. Random offense is an excuse for playing AAU ball and it’s what he wants to do. He’ll never win another title.
We’re not even getting top 2 recruiting classes anymore. Missing out on guys like Cunningham and (presumably) Brown does not help things one bit either. Talent will hide coaching discrepancies a lot of times but when you don’t run anything that resembles an offense AND you don’t have the talent to cover, this is the result.I don't worry about him winning another title. I give up on that several years ago, when Kansas State beat us in the Tournament. I just want to go to the Final Four, which we haven't done in a while. Recruiting the No. 1 class does not equate to a National Championship, or even a Final Four.
OLD STOLL FIELD GUY!
No but they have the “potential” to be good enough Cawood.I can't for the life of me figure out what the game plan was tonight. The offense looked like it was for the guards to just dribble around or pass it back and forth to each other.
That's not random, that's not coaching.
He needs to quit worrying about being ahead of the curve on social matters or innovations and worry about playing basketball. He ain't got no Larry Bird's or Dr J's that can create plays. How about you, the coach, draw up some plays and create opportunities for your players?
When players hear "play random", they're thinking, do my own thing.
You're the coach. Draw up a play, teach it to them and have them run it and run it until they get it right.
These guys can't play like NBA guys. They ain't good enough to do that.
Way too early in the season to be trying this imo.No but they have the “potential” to be good enough Cawood.
I hate the NBA
