Could you imagine how good we’d be if we had this coaching staff and this year’s offensive roster combined with the 09 defense? I just got done watching the 09 Arizona and Oklahoma games and if we had any semblance of an offense we would’ve been really, really hard to beat.

Ironically I watched both games over the weekend too. I think there was something on Suh on some site that led me to me watch those games.
Hell, just go back to 2011 thru 2014 and then insert Adrian Martinez and Scott Frost's scheme into the mix.
An elite QB makes up for a lot of issues.
Nebraska went 34-5 with Eric Crouch at QB. What is your point?
Eric Crouch was plan A, B, and C. He carried the team, quite a lot in his last season.
His point is that crouch covered up how badly we were falling in the late 90s.
IMO this is the lynchpin of the 2019 season. How good is the defense? We know what we have offensively. We’re going to score a lot of points. But the age old adage holds true. Defense wins championships. This year’s offense combined with the 2009 defense and we’re talking about a potential National Championship run. But that’s not the case. So how far we go this year will depend upon the defense taking an very big step forward this year.
