While comparing games….and just for the record….this looks like a much closer game than I expected….I noticed that ER laid a whipping on Randleman last year…a goose egg. So I went back another year and found another goose egg…but it was them giving it to y’all! Who knew?

I remember y’all going down to Clinton and beating them that year with a backup QB who was actually the starter or maybe he was a backup but then again he coulda been the starter!😂😂😂

I didn’t realize y’all lost to Randleman the game before the Clinton game. I guess I wasn’t paying much attention back then.

Good luck! Kidd
I’ll be pulling hard for those Cats!…this one might be tight!

After blowing it up with phone I AM disappointed…
Appreciate the support there brother…
LMAO. When I first saw that, I thought the same thing. Is that first character a rat? Beaver? Ferret? Did Orange/Blue change their mascot when I wasn't looking?

Ha! About that Clinton game..........the QB that led ER to victory that night was the original starter. However, he had gotten hurt earlier in the season and ER's backup was more than adequate.

This also applies to Asheboro and SW Randolph (and to some Wildcat fans......PG).
Ok here’s where we disagree slightly. You know I have a soft spot for PG especially in baseball. Coached a few of the players older brothers or cousins or friends. Even SWR I have a connection with a few. Asheboro not as much…
Orange/blue? Nope can’t find it in me to pull for in anything. Think that I speak for 99.9% of ER folks on that one 😂

And where you been? Felt odd just me trying to swat at the buzzing thing…😂

I've been in the mountains playing disc golf. Just trying to enjoy my last vacation of the year. I was very careful not to mention my speed to the local disc golfers.

A brief "Tale of the Tape".......

ER comes in at 8-1 (8 game win streak) while the Tigers come in at 7-2 (4 game win streak)

ER has scored 366 points and given up 123. Tigers have scored 347 while given up 121.

ER's best win was probably Williams. Tigers best win was against PG.

ER's only loss was to Eastern Alamance. Tigers two losses were to Central Davidson and North Stanly.

Both teams played PG pretty evenly. ER did have a little more trouble with SWR did than the Tigers did though.

Both squads have left-handed senior QB's and are good at pounding the rock. ER doesn't have anyone like Goldston however.

Well boys we got out of this one but unfortunately not unscathed. Not sure the extent of the injuries but never good when the crutches and stretchers come out.

As far as the game goes I felt like ER dominated the first half. Few sloppy plays late but after the talent that was lost and the kind of game it turned into that’s to be expected. I feel like ER probably grinds that game out to the tune of about 35-7 if things had continued on. Fortunately ER is not a 1 dimensional squad and was able to keep the wheels turning in the 4th qtr. The way Devontae has run the ball the past few weeks I forgot we had Lucas over there on the sideline ready to rumble. The 4th down throw to the corner of the end zone to seal the deal was a ballsy play. If next week ends up being a Bye or opponent forfeit that may be much needed after the injuries. I think ER has matured a lot as the season has gone on and has played their best ball as of late. We’ll see how far that can take them.

After the Thomas Jefferson fight tonight ER should get a bye. Be curious to see if any more teams opt out.

Conference champs, baby!!

Great performance from ER tonight. Tigers, for the most part, couldn't stop the Wildcat rushing attack. Nicah Taylor was outstanding. That was a great catch he made in the corner for the final touchdown. Taylor also had a huge gain off a reception to start the second half and a huge catch for a first down in the fourth quarter.

The most pivotal play of the game was Ervodd Cassidy's pick-six out in the flat. That put ER up 14-0 in the second quarter.

Devonte Brooks was having a great game before he got injured. He was running hard as usual and scored two of ER's touchdowns.

That second half was scary for the Wildcats. At least five players were shaken up and two left the game permanently. The injury to Julian Brooks looked to be the worst. He was on the ground and they brought out the ambulance and stretcher. Miraculously, Julian got up and was able to walk off without assistance. I think it was a shoulder injury. I hope it's not too serious.

Randleman had some momentum going that second half. Tyshaun Goldston ran back a punt for a touchdown to breathe life into the Tiger fanbase. Goldston also had some great, great catches. Kid's a stud.

Final was 28-13. Got real wild at the end. But......the Cats did get by. They did survive. On to the playoffs......

Anyone have the stats from last nights game? All we heard all week was how #31 was going to run all over the ER defense!
