Ran into Barkley and Dakich

My wife is on a work retreat in Phoenix this weekend and I ran into Charles Barkley at the airport in Phoenix and talked about the Kentucky auburn game! He said he is golfing tomorrow with 12 people so might catch the tail end of it. Then at our hotel Dan Dakich is here. Talked to him about the game and Carton leaving osu! Pretty good guys to talk too! Barkley talked for awhile! Dakich was about to drink and play tennis with his wife!
Oh last words from Barkley was good luck tomorrow but I don’t mean it. It’s just the right thing to say!

Barkley was super cool to talk too. I was trying not to interrupt anything with him so just taking a picture with him in background and then he started talking with me! So I had a Kentucky basketball sweatshirt on so we started talking about the game!
Dakich thinks we win tomorrow. Said auburn hasn’t been tested this year with weak schedule.

I asked Dakich if he thought osu made the tourney and he said yes. His son coaches there (which I knew) but said Indiana is coming town. It was pretty cool. He was wearing and Indiana Hoosiers t shirt.

I love Barkley too so much that I wasn't offended that he was rooting for Auburn against us and was honest about it unlike Jay Bilas trying to hide the fact that he is a Dukie.

Chuck is my favorite NBA player of all time. Huge personality and on the dream team he was absolutely killing it and led the team in scoring. Pretty sure he also lead in shooting percentages with like 70% overall and 88% from 3. Guy in his prime was a monster and his personality has always been larger than life too.

I would love of more commentators would be more open about who they are openly rooting for. It makes it more fun that way. I love that Charles openly roots against us.
