Is Johnson even on the team anymore. Thought by now we would see him on pass routes or 2nd running back at least. Also thought he was our best blocking back. We could have used him for some pass protection several times especially the fumble in the end zone which was completely unblocked.

He was 2nd string and definitely played. Obviously grant is our #1 and will probably get more snaps.

In street clothes for Indiana game. Think Gary Sharpe said Saturday night after game don’t be surprised his Husker career is over and he will enter the portal after end of season.

Hard to believe but he’s still only a sophomore. I believe Whipp, Applewhite, and Mickey saw this kid and said he’s got a lot of talent but he ain’t a RB, he’s a slot. And I think I they are right. Covid year basically gifted him a second RS, so now he gets to learn a new position and I bet he turns out deadly. He’s got two more seasons to prove it. He just needs this year to learn it

Would love to see him in slot. But not sure if he is gonna stay that long
I guess it depends on what kind of belief he has. He’s a good in space and has speed. He’s also an excellent blocker. The question @ RB is always, can he get past the line. Sure if there’s a hole for him, he’s fine. But can he break that initial contact from the big fellas down low? I think it’s the right decision for the young guy to move to slot. And if Mickeys here next year, he will be just fine if he stays with him.

maybe have him do returns if palmer ain't gonna run...have palmer just focus on receiving.
then yant is our inside the 5 yard back.

there's been times the rb position looked stock, then a couple injuries and ..it's thin
