I loved watching him run on Illinois. You can tell he's got a special kind of skill.

I remember being at the signing day presser the year Rice signed and listening to Schiano talk up Ray Rice and how everyone was going to be amazed at what he would achieve. I think we're going to see amazing things from Blackshear, as well.
100%.

I didn't watch much RR until late '05 in the lead up to the bowl game (they weren't on TV much!).

But when I saw his sudden burst, shiftiness, and pop on national television, you just knew he was going to be special. Had the same feeling about a young Brian Westbrook when he was just the PR and 3rd down RB on the Eagles.

Notably, I did not see these early flashes(?) in more heralded backs Kordell Young, Miles Shuler, or Savon Huggins.

I think Blackshear and Davidovicz have contributed most among the true freshmen. Hayek close to these 2 as well. Am I missing anyone?

Verdict's still out on his OC legacy, but I love Kill's direct, no-nonsense demeanor.

Blackshear will be great here so long as "he doesn't get cocky or act like a turd."
I kind of thought the plays designed to spring Blackshear were genius. Not flashy but very well designed and executed.

Also, the plays both Gio and Bolin executed by breaking the pocket and finding Edwards were identical which means someone in the staff saw this opportunity on film. Both possibly could have thrown something downfield but both seemed to know that the end would break contain and the LB and safety would both follow other receivers leaving Edwards wide open for two safe but very effective 3rd down conversions.

Young would’ve been good he was derailed by injuries but when he was healthy, he was good. Huggins and Schuler ... yuck.

My oldest daughter is 5'8". She has pictures with Ray Rice. She is noticeably taller than him.

Pictures or GTFO!!

Sorry, but I think that's in the RU4Real handbook about what we're supposed to do here...

I don't believe that comment came from nowhere. I'm assuming that there may have been some form of verbal reprimand or at the very minimum an exchange of words.

I think it was a joke. You’re reading too far into it. Zero reports of Blackshear being anything but a model teammate.

That hit on the goal line suggests that maybe Raheem has a little bit of showboat in him.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the hit. But it was definitely not one made out of necessity.

What are you talking about? The DB ran into him. He was running full speed. There was no flag. Screw that DB.
In this case I agree with madchuck. Blackshear said that coach Erb tells them to lower the shoulder when you're within two yards of the end zone and run through it.

That's better than the showboats who stop on the one to celebrate and fumble.

Rice had a great OL and top skill position talent around him to keep defenses honest. I wouldn't bet on Blackshear being as successful or effective.

Because nothing ever goes wrong at the goalline when you let up the gas...right.

You just shamed blackshear for what was the best part of the game this past weekend. The only fail in this thread is you being such a sissy.

I didn't "shame" him, you stupid f*ck. I said twice that I loved the hit.

You wanna call me a sissy, Yellow lot, this Saturday. Otherwise, shut your mouth.

I always confuse asscatcher and madchuck. Anyone else have that issue?
I don't think I'm the only one who thought the idea about how blackshear shouldn't lower his shoulder is a bunch of overly sensitive nonsense

The coaches praised him for how he finished that play..deservingly so. I don't want to watch a team coached by guys who wouldn't. That's just weak.

Okay, I'm selling tickets for the Yellow Lot showcase on Saturday - I'll text everyone the timing of this.

Now now....That isn't such a good idea. I think you should have it in between the Maryland wrestling match and the football game to occupy the dead time.

That's a great idea! Except...........people would actually have to be there to sell tickets to.

Blackshear is a stud and we need to get him the ball in space as much as possible.
